Personal Statement

Perception is reality and reality is perception.  How one sees and interprets what they see is unique to each individual. It can be based on visual reference or an emotional feeling stored that they have experienced. I strongly believe that art is about learning and unlearning, then challenging what you have learned to push yourself creatively. Some of my work is realistic, some is abstract and some is in-between.

I have been painting since I was quite young. My early classes were at the Cheltenham Art Center. Then I moved on to Tyler School Of Art, Philadelphia, PA for my MFA, BFA and Teaching Certification. I have exhibited paintings, prints and photographs and taught Studio Art for over 45 Years.
